Now in its fourth edition, Saadhana is the signature annual event of the Shreyasi Gopinath Dance Academy. The festival features performances that showcase stories from our mythology, with oral narrative transformed using music and dance as a form of expression.
Saadhana, meaning a dedicated and disciplined way of learning, also means practice, hard work, resilience and single-mindedness, attributes that will be incorporated in the performances.

Shreyasi's aim is to preserve and promote India's diverse cultural traditions through her performances and teaching, and to cultivate a community that not only produces exceptional dancers but also well-rounded individuals who carry the values of teamwork, respect and perseverance into their lives.
A Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher and choreographer from New Delhi, India, Shreyasi began her formal training at age 7 with Guru Padma Bhushan Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan.
At 15, she joined Kalakshetra Foundation for intensive training. After six years of learning under renowned Gurus and earning a Post-Graduate Diploma, she returned to New Delhi, to continue her learning under late Guru Jamuna Krishnan.
